![]() I think you got the question wrong (sorry if I did something wrong), but I meant that I have both, a PS4 and a PC (Which I play on a 1440p 144hz monitor and I got a 1080 TI), but my friend only has a PC.Īnd the thing is, we play CSGO a lot together, like 5 times in a week and for like at least 1 hour daily. Meanwhile, base PS4 often suffers from lackluster performance because the excuse "just buy a PS4 Pro" now exists. The addition of PS4 Pro popularized the concepts of 4K and 60 FPS gameplay but persistently fails to deliver on either, let alone both at once. Originally posted by Lulech23:Playstation has all but lost me this generation. If playing with friends is the only thing causing you to consider the PS4 version, tell them to buy PCs :) The only thing missing is a true console UI to simplify the setup process, but that's a small price to pay. It's also worth mentioning that PC has great support for controllers, can do remote play in a variety of ways, easily capture screenshots/video, and just about any other modern console convenience. I can just buy my games on PC in the first place, have a great experience today, and still be able to enjoy the game for the foreseeable future without re-buying for compatibility with the latest hardware. Sony has sent the message loud and clear that I should only buy a PS4 game if I want to regret it later when a superior PC port releases, or in 5 years when the PS5 remaster comes out. Do the math, and you'll find that the cost of buying a PS4 plus a few years of PS+ and maybe some PS Now easily meets or even exceeds the cost of building a gaming PC. The only subscription you pay for multiplayer is your ISP. ![]() Backwards compatibility exists for pretty much the entire history of videogames, including console games thanks to emulation. ![]() Oh, and speaking of subscriptions, how about that $60 a year PS+ requirement for online gameplay? If you're lucky, the free monthly games might justify the cost, but that's a big "if" these days.Ĭompare all that to PC which is customizable to fit your performance standards-even 4K 60 FPS if you want it badly enough. It's literally a cheaper and better experience to buy a PS3 than maintain a PS Now subscription, and then you get access to a huge library of PS2 and PS1 titles as well. Not to mention Sony's ridiculous backwards-compatibility efforts. Playstation has all but lost me this generation. (As I work on the internet, I have to keep it on all the times, but I also have my favorite games here.) So, that's basically why my opinion is neutral, I also tend to play 90% of my games on PC, I usually use my PS4 like 3-5 hours a day, while my PC at least 16 hours a day. The PS4 also tends to receive game updates more often, as well as more support, and has 99% less cheaters than the PC version, which is a considerably good point for the PS4. The connection is also better on the PC, which I wouldn't really consider relevant to this game, but I would just like to point that out. While playing on PC you also have easier access to wiki's and other players through the forums, as if you play on the PS4 you would have to go to your phone, or even your PC to look for advice. The PC (a small portion of people at least, like me) players will be able to take advantage of the 144Hz refresh rate, if your display allows it, which for me at least, is a great plus, as I play a lot of games on both PC and Console and the difference is like day and night. The reason being because there are more PS4 players, which will most likely lead to the multiplayer death considerably later rather than on PC.Īlso, the movement is most likely better with a controller, but I'm pretty sure that the aim will be much more smooth with a mouse rather than a stick, so that's a point for the PC. ![]() Otherwise I would most likely buy it for PS4.Īnd basically, I'm making this topic just to gather different opinions on the matter, which version is better, or more polished, PS4 or PC? I'm 100% sure that I will buy the game for PC, but only because there's a friend of mine that doesn't own a PS4 and he is buying the game to play with me. ![]()
